ZHAW School of Management and Law

First established in 1968 as the HWV (Höhere Wirtschafts- und Verwaltungsschule), the ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML) is one of today’s leading business schools in Switzerland, offering internationally recognized Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, a broad range of continuing education courses and programs, and innovative research and development projects. All programs are scientifically grounded, interdisciplinary, and strongly oriented to real-world business practices. SML’s motto "Building Competence. Crossing Borders" reflects the school’s commitment to provide superior training and continuing education opportunities and be open to the international community. The SML maintains numerous cooperative relationships with selected partner universities around the world.



"Future Leaders of Angola": Customized Diploma Course for Young Angolan Professionals

From August 2014, some 50 students from Angola are attending a customized continuing education course at the ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML) in Winterthur. This six-month scholarship course is sponsored by the Angolan state fund. Focus areas include banking and finance, business development, international business, and aspects of business ethics. The diploma course aims to qualify participants to assume challenging leadership roles in Angola.


Study Trip to Japan and China

Emerging and developed markets are well-known concepts for students at business schools. At the ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML), however, they have the opportunity to discover and compare both states of economic development at once.
